MONTREAL -- Matteo Ferrari describes the Montreal Impact as "a team that likes offence but doesnt like to defend. Air Max Pas Cher Chine ." Those traits were clear to the 24,071 at Olympic Stadium on Saturday as the Impact dominated the scoring chances but settled for a 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls in a battle of still-winless Major League Soccer teams. And the home side was lucky to get a point, as Peguy Luyindula put a penalty shot off a goalpost that could have given New York a 3-1 lead early in the second half. The Impact tied the game in the 60th minute on Felipe Martins header. Andres Romero scored in the fifth minute for Montreal (0-3-2), only to see turnovers lead to goals three minutes apart from Jonny Steele and Luyindula in the first half for the Red Bulls (0-1-4). New Impact coach Frank Klopas, still looking for his first win, has been trying to get his team to avoid forcing the play in the midfield and giving the ball away, but they have been slow learners thus far. Ferrari, the veteran Italian central defender, is one of those who has to deal with the consequences when opponents counterattack. "We played well, we had a lot of chances to score, but in the end, if we dont pay attention to the defensive part its going to be all the time counterattacks," the 34-year-old said. "The last games, every time we lose the ball badly, they score. "I dont want to be negative, but when you score two goals, it should be enough to win. We have to be more concentrated without the ball." The Impact controlled most of the game and swarmed the Red Bulls net repeatedly, but either missed their shots or were foiled by goalkeeper Luis Robles. Montreal led 21-13 in shot attempts and 12-4 in shots on goal. Striker Marco Di Vaio was in alone a handful of times and failed to convert. Justin Mapp was stopped from just outside the six-yard box and Romero was robbed by Robles as he hammered a Di Vaio rebound on target from 10 yards out. At the other end, the Red Bulls made the most of their chances and earned their fourth draw in a row. "Coming into Montreal and getting a point -- you take it," said New York coach Mike Petke. "We seem to like ties, but its still early in the season." The Red Bulls had a glorious chance to secure a win when Ferrari got an arm around Bradley Wright-Phillips in the area, but Luyindula hit the woodwork from the spot in the 48th minute. Ferrari escaped without seeing the red card. "I dont know if it was a penalty or not, but I felt like the referee was not sure about it," said Ferrari. "If you make a penalty, it should be a red card and they send me off. "Anyway, they didnt score. We had another chance to stay in the game." Felipe started and finished the tying goal when he played a long ball to Mapp on the right side and went to the net to head in his first of the season. "I believed we would score," said Felipe, whose team was coming off a 1-1 draw last week in Philadelphia. "We had a lot of chances and didnt get the three points, so thats sad. We played well but we made mistakes and we tied again." Ferrari said his team has been the same since they entered MLS in 2012 -- good at moving forward and getting chances and bad at getting back to cover when mistakes are made. The back line gets much of the blame from fans when goals are conceded, which Ferrari finds unfair. "This is a team that likes offence but doesnt like to defend, so the defence in the back suffers," he said. "Also our field is very big and theres a lot of ground to cover. "Its not easy. Today we saw it. Against Seattle (a 2-0 loss in their home opener) it was the same. We have to work on that and do better because every week were here talking about us not winning and the win isnt coming." Asked if pressure was starting to build on the team, Ferrari smiled. "Pressure is something else," he said. "Its when you dont have food to give to your kids. "Its still a game. I played in a place like Roma, like Turkey. Thats pressure. When you dont win, they wait for you outside the stadium to break your car. But Im not happy because, as a defender, I cant be happy when every game you concede one or two and sometimes three goals." It looked like the Impact would romp when Romero scored. The goal was set up when Heath Pearce recovered a ball and Felipe slipped it to the Argentine midfielder for a shot off the far post. Then New Yorks Lloyd Sam got a cross past Heath and Steele beat defender Eric Miller to the ball to nudge it across the line in the 31st. Only three minutes later, Di Vaios weak cross-field pass was picked off by Steele, who sent it to Luyindula breaking in on the right to score for a second game in a row. The Red Bulls had to draw on their depth as several of their starters sat out. Forward Thierry Henry, who has seven goals in four games against Montreal, and defender Jamison Olave werent in the lineup because both have health issues playing on artificial turf. Forward Tim Cahill (hamstring) and defender Richard Eckersley (ankle) were hurt in last weeks 1-1 draw with Chivas USA. Also, veteran midfielder Dax McCarty didnt start, but Petke said he sent him in after the intermission because Roy Miller had suffered an Achilles tendon injury. The Impact defeated the Red Bulls 1-0 at the Big O early last season, then lost to them twice in New York. Notes -- Striker Jack McInerney, obtained Friday in a trade with Philadelphia, is to join the Impact on Monday. As No. 9 is taken by Di Vaio, he will wear No. 99. The Impact had no lineup changes from last week, with Di Vaio, Romero and Pearce each getting a second start in a row. Air Max 97 Off White Blanche Pas Cher . Heavily-criticized after allowing a dozen goals on 58 shots in two games in Boston, Luongo continued his dominance at home. Hes now allowed two goals in three home games in this series. "I guess its something to remember here and keep in the back of our minds -- if you knock the net off, just throw (the puck) in there," he said. "It should count." Cam Atkinson scored a goal confirmed by video replay in the third period, and Ryan Johansen added an empty-netter for his second of the game to lead the Blue Jackets to a win that further tightens the already close Eastern Conference playoff race. On an odd-man rush, Matt Calverts shot from the left wing was stopped by Howard, although the puck popped loose behind the goalie. Atkinson, racing down the right wing, was hit by Detroit defenceman Brendan Smith. Atkinsons leg knocked the net off its moorings as he backhanded the loose puck into the cage as it was sliding away from the goal line. The goal, at 6:58 of the third, was ruled good because Smiths hit on Atkinson had knocked the net loose -- bringing a loud cheer from the crowd of 15,103. "I wasnt really sure," Atkinson said about the goal. "The net went off, but their explanation was the puck was going in as the net was coming off. Matty just made a good play. The puck kind of snuck out between his legs, and I was at the right place at the right time." Columbus, Detroit, Washington and Toronto are all tied with 80 points for places 7-10 in the East. The Blue Jackets win any tiebreaker, and Detroit and Columbus also have more games left (10) than the Capitals (9) and Maple Leafs (8). Columbus had lost three of four. "We got some fortunate bounces," Johansen said after goals 28 and 29. "Thats what we needed." Brandon Dubinsky and Johansen had power-play goals in the first period after the Blue Jackets had failed to score on their previous 36 opportunities with a man advantage over a 10-game spaan. Fausse Air Max 270 React. James Wisniewski assisted on both and added another helper. "You know what Im pleased about? Hopefully after tonight I wont get any more questions about the power play," Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said. "When we scored the first one I said, Good. Now we can stop talking about it." Curtis McElhinney stopped 22 of 23 shots in relief of Sergei Bobrovsky, who left after the first period because of the flu. McElhinney made Atkinsons goal stand with big stops on Darren Helm with 8 minutes left, making a sprawling pad save, and again a minute later on Johan Franzens wraparound. With 1:44 left, he deflected Kyle Quinceys wicked blast from the high slot with his right shoulder. Red Wings coach Mike Babcock refused to blame the call on the Atkinson goal for the loss. "It doesnt matter what I think, obviously," he said. "They made a decision. I thought when the net was off, the goal didnt count but they evidently thought our guy pushed their guy in. So its a goal. Theres no sense disputing that. We had to get one more goal." Gustav Nyquist, last weeks No. 1 star in the NHL, maintained his hot hand with two goals for the Red Wings, who were 3-0-1 in their previous four. He has 20 goals in his last 24 games. "It doesnt really matter," he said of his two goals. "It was an important game. Well forget about this one and move on." NOTES: With a TV camera just a couple of feet away on the other side of the glass during a break, Johansen grinned and tore off a piece of athletic tape and playfully stuck it on the glass to shield the cameras view. ... Howard stopped 23 of 26 shots. ... Last week, Nyquist had six goals and seven points in four games; the Blue Jackets had six goals as a team in their previous five games. ... RW Mitch Callahan, recalled on Monday from AHL Grand Rapids, made his NHL debut for the Red Wings, skating on the fourth line. ' ' '

At first glance, you would think that everything went according to plan for the Miami Heat in 2012-13. Fake Balenciaga For Sale . They picked up an NBA-best 66 wins in the regular season and a second straight NBA championship. While the end result was what they wanted, the Heats road to the title was anything but a cakewalk. In fact, if Ray Allen doesnt nail a second-chance three with 5.2 seconds left in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, its the Spurs, not the Heat hoisting the Larry OBrien. Instead of talking about a title, wed be talking about how the Heats vaunted big three came up short for the second time in three seasons. And LeBron James, instead of winning a second straight Finals MVP, is back to hearing about how he choked in the clutch after missing three straight shots prior to Allens dagger through the heart of San Antonio. Of course, Allen did hit that three and the Heat did go on to beat San Antonio in Game 7, capping one of the most thrilling NBA Finals ever. The Heat remain one of the best teams in the NBA and lost only one significant piece from last years team in Mike Miller. They still have the best player in the world and will be favoured to win a third straight title. However, the more difficult than expected playoff run, particularly their trouble handling big, physical teams, has left questions as to whether or not the Heat have what it takes to three-peat. Or more specifically have other teams, expecially in the Eastern Conference caught up to the Heat? Add in the fact that James, Wade and Bosh are all eligible to opt out of their contracts after this season and the situation in Miami isnt quite as sunny as you might think. Picard had a goal and two assists to help Canada improve to 2-0 at the tournament. Seven different players scored for the two-time defending champions. "Today all four lines played excellent," said head coach Laura Schuler. https://www.fakebalenciaga.com/ .C. -- Duke sophomore Rodney Hood is entering the NBA draft.TAMPA, Fla. - Lovie Smith is well aware of Tampa Bays shaky track record in the NFL draft, as well as the role recent failures have played in the Buccaneers missing the playoffs the past six seasons. The franchises third coach in four years has spent the last two months overhauling the roster through free agency. Now, Smith and first-year general manager Jason Licht are counting on filling more holes with an infusion of young talent. Barring a last-minute trade to move up or down in the selection process, the Bucs have six picks in this weeks draft, beginning with No. 7 overall. Needs include wide receiver, offensive line, and possibly targeting the clubs quarterback of the future. As expected, Smith and Licht have given little indication of how they may be leaning. "I think if we had to play tomorrow, we could line up a pretty competitive team at every position, but youre always trying to upgrade," Smith said. "There are some positions we would like to upgrade, but Ill be saying that every year, and thats the way you should always be thinking." The Bucs have signed career backup Josh McCown to be their starting quarterback. They also acquired six other projected new starters in free agency: defensive end Michael Johnson, cornerback Alterraun Verner, centre Evan Dietrich-Smith, tackle Anthony Collins, defensive tackle Clinton McDonald and tight end Brandon Myers. To ensure long-term success, though, Smith and Licht are adamant they have to build through the draft. The Bucs, who havent made the playoffs since 2007, have only one player remaining on the roster who was drafted in 2009 or 2010 — the first two springs of the reclamation project the team launched under former GM Mark Dominik and ex-coach Raheem Morris. It helps that its two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, the third overall pick in 2010. But an inability to nurture other young prospects into productive pros ultimately led to the demise of Dominik and the two coaches he worked with: Morris and Greg Schiano, who was dismissed in January after just two seasons. "Is it hard to make up, and is it a hindrance? Thats probably one of the reasons why Jason and I are both here right now,&qquot; Smith said of failed drafts in general. Fake Balenciaga Shoes. "If you have to have one guy remaining you would like for it to be Gerald, of course," Smith added. "Our plan is for us to do better on the draft and make that our foundation. I feel like well do that." Five things to remember as Smith and Licht continue to put their stamp on the Bucs: QB? MAYBE: While the consensus is Tampa Bay has a pressing need is for a speedy receiver to play opposite Vincent Jackson, the Bucs lack a clear-cut quarterback of the future. McCown is 34. And, theres no indication Smith and Licht consider second-year pro Mike Glennon the long-term solution. So if Johnny Manziel is available at No. 7, would the Bucs balk at selecting a player who would almost certainly bring a circus-like atmosphere to town? "In terms of fan interest and selling tickets, we are lucky to work for the Glazers, who have hired us both to make us a better football team. ... We are just going to make the best football decision, whats best for our football team," Licht said. "I think Lovie and his staff can handle the rest of it." IF NOT A QB, THEN WHO?: Clemsons Sammy Watkins and Texas A&Ms Mike Evans are among the top-rated receivers . Most people feel Watkins will be long gone by the time the Bucs turn comes. WELL-PREPARED: Smith spent the past year out of football after being fired by the Chicago Bears following the 2012 season. Being off gave him more time than usual to watch college games, thus get a head start on evaluating talent for the draft. DONT BE SURPRISED: The Bucs have one pick in every round except the fourth. They may be tempted to trade out of the seventh spot, dropping lower in the first round while adding additional selections in later rounds. That seems more likely than moving up into the top five. NEED VS. BEST PLAYER: Licht offers this spin on the traditional draft-day strategy: "Our team needs in September are going to be totally different than they are right now. The player you take you may not think we have a need for him now, but a lot of times youre thankful you have them when the season starts." ___ AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL ' ' '

When it came to sport, Nelson Mandela had the ability to inspire even inspirational figures and leave global stars completely star-struck. Airmax Italia Internet . The anti-apartheid leader, former South African president and Nobel Peace Prize winner died on Thursday at the age of 95, prompting a vast outpouring of tributes from the worlds best-known athletes and top sporting bodies. Muhammad Ali, himself a role model for so many, said Mandela inspired others to "reach for what appeared to be impossible." "What I will remember most about Mr. Mandela is that he was a man whose heart, soul and spirit could not be contained or restrained by racial and economic injustices, metal bars or the burden of hate and revenge," Ali said in a statement through his foundation. Pele wrote, "He was my hero, my friend." Tiger Woods called his meeting with Mandela in 1998 "inspiring times." "Its sad for everyone who got a chance to not only meet him, but Ive been influenced by him," Woods said. Usain Bolt posted on Twitter: "One of the greatest human beings ever." The NBAs LeBron James said: "In his 95 years, he was able to do unbelievable things not only for South Africa but for the whole world." As much as sportsmen and women loved Mandela, he in turn loved sport and appreciated its enormous potential to do good. Nowhere more than in his own country, where he famously used the 1995 Rugby World Cup to knock down the last barriers of apartheid. "A remarkable man who understood that sport could build bridges, break down walls, and reveal our common humanity," International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach said in a statement to The Associated Press. The IOC would fly the Olympic flag at half-staff for three days for Mandela, he said. Bach later choked up while speaking about when he met Mandela in 1996 and asked the former political prisoner if he felt hatred toward the apartheid regime that imprisoned him for 27 years. "His immediate response was no but he saw the doubt in my eyes," Bach said on Friday. "You dont believe me? he asked. I can tell you why. If I hate I would not be a free man anymore." Bach wasnt the only one to show his emotions. Gary Player paused while speaking at a golf tournament in South Africa to compose himself and wipe away tears. "When you think of a man going to jail for all those years for doing the right thing, not the wrong thing, its hard to comprehend that a man can come out and be like that," Player said. "He was an exceptional man, just exceptional." FIFA president Sepp Blatter said he and world football were in mourning at Mandelas passing and ordered that the 209 flags of its member countries at FIFA headquarters in Switzerland also be flown at half-staff. "It is in deep mourning that I pay my respects to an extraordinary person, probably one of the greatest humanists of our time and a dear friend of mine," Blatter said. From a cricket test in Australia to basketball games in the United States, and a golf tournament in the wilderness of South Africa, Mandela was remembered by players and fans across sport with moments of silence. A keen amateur boxer and runner in his youth, Mandela understood the intricacies of rugby, football and cricket, the most popular sports in his country, but even games and players the South African wouldnt have been familiar with were touched by him. "Nelson Mandela was one of the most powerful and inspirational leaders in the world and a great friend of the NBA," league commissioner David Stern said, "... and while we mourn his passing, we know that his legacy and quest for equality will endure." Sport was never far from Mandelas mind. He was there -- often the driving force -- when South Africa returned to the Olympic family, won rugbys World Cup, won footballs African Cup and earned the right to host FIFAs World Cup in 2010, the first in Africa. It was fitting that Mandelas last appearance for an adoring public was when he greeted fans in a packed stadium on the outskirts of Soweto ahead of the 2010 World Cup final. "When he was honoured and cheered by the crowd ... it was as a man of the people, a man of their hearts, and it was one of the most moving moments I have ever experienced," Blatter said. A string of Spains World Cup winners from that year and Portugals Cristiano Ronaldo all tweeted messages of condolence, with many including photographs of themselves with Mandela. Global superstars Woods and David Beckham both made a point of meeting him when they travelled to South Africa. Woods came out of his audience with a copy of the mans autobiography and Beckham was almost reverent in their 2003 meeting. "We have lost a true gentleman and a courageous human being," Beckham said on his Facebook page. "It was truly an honour to have known a man who had genuine love for so many people." South African golfer Ernie Els said that from around 1996 onwards Mandela would call him every time he won a tournament and they once exchanged gifts after Mandela visited him at a tournament near the ex-presidents Johannesburg home. "Ive still got that picture in my office in the U.S.," Els said. "He was just the most amazing person I have ever met." But Mandelas interest in sport wasnt just for the grand occasion and the photo opportunity. Recalling his first conversation with a still imprisoned Mandela in 1986 and away from the media spotlight, former Australian prime minister Malcolm Fraser said Mandelas first question was about cricket and the man regarded as that sports greatest player. "His first remark to me, after hello, was ... Mr. Fraser, is Donald Bradman still alive?" Fraser later brought him a bat signed by Bradman. Crickets finest batsman had written "in recognition of a great unfinished innings" for Mandela on the bat. What Mandela did at that 1995 Rugby World Cup final is one of sports defining moments and enshrined in the new South Africas conscience. By pulling on the green and gold jersey of the Springboks, the national team previously all-white and associated with the apartheid regime, Mandela signalled to all South Africans that they should unite. His presentation of the trophy to the Springboks blond captain Francois Pienaar provided a lasting image of reconciliation that politics just couldnt match. "It was our privilege to have lived in this country during his lifetime," South African Rugby Union president Oregan Hoskins said. After 1995, Mandela commonly referred to the team that had previously been boycotted abroad for its associations with apartheid as "my beloved Springboks." Current Springboks captain Jean de Villiers said: "His presence at a test match just lifted the crowd and energized the team -- it is actually hard to describe." Even for New Zealands losing rugby captain on that famous June day in 1995, Sean Fitzpatrick, Mandelas effect was too momentous not to appreciate. "Afterwards, when we were driving back to our hotel crying, to see the sheer enjoyment of everyone running down the streets ... black, white, colored, whatever they were, just arm in arm celebrating sport," Fitzpatrick said. "He saw the bigger picture." Air Max 720 Italia . - The Green Bay Packers got back to work on Friday without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. COLUMBUS, Ohio - Alex Ovechkins familiar gap-toothed grin has returned with the Washington Capitals in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff hunt. Chief Bender White Sox Jersey .Hardly anyones smiling in the West, where the standings are far more convoluted heading into the post-All-Star break of the NHL schedule, which opens with 11 games Tuesday. Its hard, St. Louis Blues defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk said during the All-Star festivities in Columbus, Ohio, over the weekend. If you lose three, four games in a row, its scary because you find yourself in eighth place when you were in first a week ago.Its a tale of two conferences. In the West, seven points separate the fourth-place San Jose Sharks from the 11th-place Dallas Stars. Dont count out the 12th-place Minnesota Wild, who rode a 23-10-7 second-half surge to clinch a playoff spot last year. And then theres the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings who are a single point out of the post-season picture at the moment.Weve had some spurts where we played pretty good, Kings forward Anze Kopitar said. But we also had some moments where we didnt play very good at all.In the East, the Capitals (24-13-9) are seventh, but part of a top-eight group of contenders that have begun separating themselves from the bottom eight. And that, so far, is fine with, Ovechkin who is feeling much better after one his most trying years. Before the season, I said, its a very important year for us, for me, for the whole group of guys on the team, said Ovechkin, who made his fifth career NHL All-Star Game appearance. We all wanted to come back and show last year was maybe a little bit of no luck. The Capitals not only missed the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons, Ovechkins frustrations were compounded on the other side of the Atlantic. Thats where he and his fellow Russians wilted under immense national pressure by failing to even sniff an Olympic medal on native soil at the Sochi Games. The Capitals have successfully made the transition under new coach Barry Trotz, and shored up their defence by adding Brooks Orpik and Matt Niskanen.Ovechkins production has barely slowed, and put him in contention to win his fifth career and third straight scoring title. His 27 goals are one off the league-lead shared by Dallas Tyler Seguin and New York Rangers Rick Nash. And Ovechkins defensive numbers are markedly improved. After finishing third-last in the NHL with a minus-35 rating, hes currently 40th with a plus-12.Steven Stamkos, captain of the East-leading Tampa Bay Lightning, isnt exactly rooting for Alex The Greats return to the playoffs. But, he noted, it would be good for hockey to have such a high-profile player competing well into the spring. Its great that hes having a great year, Stamkos said. Any time you have a top player playing well it only adds to building our game. The East teams outside the playoff hunt have plenty of catching up to do. The youth-laden Florida Panthers — whose roster includes rookie No. 1 pick, defenceman Aaron Ekblad — are ninth. Ottawa and Toronto are next with 47 points, and shown few signs of consistency even after both Ontario rivals changed coaches over the past two months. The West is filled with intrigue, which shouldnt come as a surprise after many top teams spent last summer stocking up on high-profile free agents. Still, there are three teams — San Jose (fourth place), Winnipeg (seventh) and Calgary (eighth) — that are in the hunt despite not making many off-season splashes.Chicago and St. Louis both find themselves looking up in the Central Division at Nashville. Its a tough division to be in, but its also a good division to be in, Blackhawks defenceman Brent Seabrook said. Were all playing meaningful games down the stretch, getting ready for the playoffs. Not all will make it.There is a race to watch at the other end of the standings. Buffalo (14-30-3) and Edmonton (12-26-9) have been locked in a battle for futility and, more important, the right to land the top draft prospects — Erie Otters forward Connor McDavid and U.S.-born, Boston University freshman Jack Eichel. The Sabres are suddenly gaining the edge for last place and, with it, a guaranteed top-two selection. They entered the All-Star breaking having lost 11 straight in regulation — the NHLs worst streak since Pittsburgh lost 13 in a row from January to February 2004, according to STATS. "Both of these individuals are extremely high character guys, while their play on the field just continues to improve," said general manager Kyle Walters in a release. "Teague has progressively made more and more plays through the start of training camp and the first two games of 2014, building on his first season, while Jake continues to be solid in the middle of our defeensive line. Leury Garcia Jersey. Were very pleased to lock both of these guys up." Signed as a free agent in December of 2012 out of the University of Manitoba, Sherman is in his second season with the Bombers. The 26-year-old appeared in 13 games last season for the team and its first two in 2014. Scottsdale, AZ (SportsNetwork. Matt Duffy Jersey .com) - Martin Laird shot 3-under 68 on Saturday and he extended his lead to three strokes after 54 holes of the Phoenix Open. Laird ended three rounds at 13-under-par 200. He will go for his fourth PGA Tour title on Sunday. Hideki Matsuyama fired an 8-under 63, the low round of the week at the TPC Scottsdale, and he soared into a share of second place at minus-10. He was joined there by Brooks Koepka (64) and Zach Johnson (67). Jon Rahm, who is a member of the Arizona State golf team, posted a 5-under 66 and he improved into a tie for fifth at 9-under-par 204. He stands alongside first-round leader Ryan Palmer (68) and Justin Thomas (69). Bubba Watson (69), Angel Cabrera (69) and Francesco Molinari (64) are among nine players tied for eighth place at minus-8. Molinari had a hole-in-one on the raucous par-3 16th. Laird, who led by two when the second round was completed earlier Saturday, stumbled out of the gate as he bogeyed the first. He atoned for that mistake with a 5-foot birdie putt on the third. Laird made it two in a row as he birdied the fourth from seven feet out. After three straight pars, Laird drained a 15-footer for birdie at the ninth to make the turn at 11-under. He poured in a long birdie try from off the green at No. 11. Laird moved to minus-13 with a kick-in birdie at the 13th. He scrambled for par on 14 after finding the rough off the tee. Thats just a brutal hole. If you miss the fairway, its almost an automatic layup. That was a big up and down for par, stated Laird about the 14th. He found water off the tee at the par-5 15th and that led to his third bogey of the round. The Scotsman bounced back with a 4-foot birdie putt at No. 17. Laird closed with a par at the last to end three clear of the field. It was wedge and I didnt hit that bad of a shot, making bogey with a wedge on a par-3 youre never happy, especially on that hole. Theyre going to let you know about it. So that was a big one because I had just come off a bogey on the par-5 before, Laird said of his par at 16. Then I managed to get one back with a birdie at 17. I had fun out there even though it was a little erratic at the end. Matsuyama converted back-to-back birdies at two and three before running off four straight pars from the fourth. He drained a 23-footer for birdie at No. 8 and he birdied the ninth en route to making the turn at minus-5. The reigning Memorial winner started his second nine with three more pars. He chipped to two feet at the par-5 13th and knocked that in for birdie. Matsuyama began a hot closing stretch with a 2-putt birdie at the par-5 15th. He followed with birdies at 16 and 17, both from inside six feet. Matsuyama ran in a 17-footer for birdie at the last to gain a share of second place. Koepka had a slow start to his round with eight pars and a birdie on the front nine. He jumped up the leaderboard with three birdies in the first four holes around the turn. Koepka birdied three in a row from the 15th, all from inside 10 feet, to soar to minus-10. Im very pleased with how I played the back nine. I knocked a bunch of rust off and Im trying to get back into the swing of things since this is the first event of the season for me, said Koepka. Johnson opened with a birdie, but followed with four straight pars. He drained a long birdie try at the sixth, but gave that shot back when he failed to save par from the rough at the eighth. Around the turn, Johnson jumped to minus-10 as he ran off three consecutive birdies from the 13th. He closed his round with three pars in a row. NOTES: Laird, whose last PGA Tour victory was at the 2013 Texas Open, owns the 54-hole lead for the fourth time in his PGA Tour career ... He won one of the previous three times he was in that position ... Matsuyama had one of the 10 bogey-free rounds ... Saturdays attendance was down from last year, but there were still 159,906 at the course during round three. "Lately my shot has been off," said Lowry, fresh off a 20-point, 12-rebound, 11-assist performance in the Raptors 111-104 victory over the Timberwolves. "Ive been in a crazy slump for me. Imma find my way out of it." Demanding the best from himself and his team has become the norm for a player that led Toronto in more ways than one on Sunday. Lowry shot just 5-of-13 from the field but it didnt seem to matter much because he did almost everything else. The Raptors point guard knocked down nine of his 10 free throws, netted a couple of steals, found teammates for big shots throughout the evening and helped change the game with his rebounding. As a team, it was their hot shooting that kept the Raptors afloat in the first half, even leading by one at intermission. However, that lead seemed unsustainable at the rate in which Minnesota dominated the trenches. Late in the third quarter, as Lowry wrestled the ball from Nikola Pekovic - a ferocious rebounder with 80 pounds and nearly a foot on the Raptors guard - to give his team another possession, it was clear the momentum had swung. "He did a good job of getting in there, penetrating, finding people," Dwane Casey said of Lowry. "We needed all of his rebounds, especially with the way they crash the boards. He just had an all-around game." After giving up 10 offensive rebounds in the first half - it was the 12th time theyve surrendered at least 10 offensive boards in the last 17 games - the Raptors allowed just six in the seconds half, doubling Minnesotas efforts on the boards, 28-14. Lowry, who had nine rebounds in the final 24 minutes, and his nose for the ball seemed to rub off and inspire his teammates. "Its crazy," DeMar DeRozan said of Lowrys effort. "We all look at one another and realize, what can I do to help him out?" "Just seeing him going there, sometimes he comes out of nowhere and you see him snatch a ball out of a bigs hand, or coming over the top like he has a 42-inch vertical or something. Thats just Kyle, man. Hes hungry for the ball every time the ball goes up." His passion, like his tenacity, has been contagious and his backcourt partner appears to have caught the bug. With just over a minute to go and the shot clock ticking down, up seven, DeRozan took a pass from Lowry. Situated in the left corner, with the Wolves Corey Brewer in his face, he drained the dagger, a three-pointer to put the Raptors up 10. On his way to the Raptors huddle, Minnesota having just called a timeouut, a fired-up DeRozan turned to the Wolves bench and shouted a couple of R-rated words that did not sit well with coach Rick Adelman. Don Zimmer Jersey. "They got a little hyped when they made a couple of buckets," said DeRozan, who finished with 25 points. "I kind of got it from Greivis (Vasquez). When he hits a big shot, he always shows off a little bit. Its the competitive level thats in all of us when you hit a big shot." "I like the passion," Casey added. "I think all of our guys are playing with passion, we have to channel it and get it going in the right direction, at the other team. I do like that." It was a rare showing of on-court emotion for the quiet all-star guard but something weve seen a lot more of over the last few weeks. Lowry, who is known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, approves. "When youre an all-star, youre growing up, your true self starts to come out a little bit," he said of his teammate. "Hes a quiet guy but when youre winning and youre a leader, youve got to do it." Listed at a generous 6-feet, Lowry is averaging just under five rebounds per game, good for fourth among NBA point guards, behind only Russell Westbrook, Michael Carter-Williams and Rajon Rondo. Lowry is shooting just 32 per cent from the field, 29 per cent from three-point range - down from 39 per cent on the season - over his last eight games. Its barely affected his overall value to the team and it certainly hasnt hurt the bottom line. Toronto has won six of those eight games and nine of its last 11 contests, surpassing last seasons win total with its 35th victory on Sunday. Without sixth-man Patrick Patterson in the lineup - the Raptors learned he will miss at least 7-10 days with a ligament injury in his right elbow before the game - Steve Novak and Chuck Hayes stepped in and filled that role seamlessly. Hayes strength and on-the-ball defence came in handy against all-star forward Kevin Love - who just missed out on a triple-double, with 26 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists - and Novak knocked down five of his six shots from beyond the arch, contributing 15 points in 19 minutes off the bench. As a team, the Raptors shot 14-of-24 from long distance, with Terrence Ross hitting three of four attempts and DeRozan, as well as Vasquez each drilling a couple threes. The victory was Torontos 18th in its previous 19 meetings with the Wolves, sweeping the season-series for the eighth time in the last 10 years. Now nine games above the .500 mark for the first time this season, the Raptors will travel to Brooklyn to face the Nets - who sit four games back for top spot in the Atlantic Division - in the second night of a back-to-back, for both teams, on Monday. Now with the series tied at one after two exciting games in Boston and headed to what promises to be a raucous Bell Centre, the Canadiens jumped into the fray with some verbal barbs of their own on Monday. After being stonewalled by Canadiens goalie Carey Price in Game 1 - when he made 48 saves to help his team steal one with a 4-3 double overtime win - and then finding themselves down 3-1 halfway through the third period of Game 2, the Bruins scored three goals in 5:32 to take a 4-3 lead en route to a 5-3 win. Following the game, Bruins defenceman Dougie Hamilton and Torey Krug told the media they believed theyve solved the Canadiens gold-medal winning netminder. "I think weve definitely noticed that when hes screened, hes looking low," said Hamilton who scored first in the three-goal outburst late in Game 2. "He gets really low, so it seems like we score a lot of goals up high when we have net front presence. I dont know if were really trying [to do that], but weve definitely noticed that. When we can get our shots through their defenceman – especially the ones trying to block it -- we have a really good chance of getting it in." "It seems like almost all of the goals so far have gone to the upper half of the net," added Krug. Following practice on Monday, the Canadiens were quick to brush the Bruins analysis of Price aside, with head coach Michel Therrien claiming it was just another example of his counterpart Claude Julien and the Bruins trying to get under the skin of an opposing goalie. Early in the 2013 Stanley Cup Final, the Bruins scored frequently on the glove side of Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford and werent shy about telling the media that they were exposing Crawfords weakness. Ironically, Crawfords goalie coach then was current Montreal goalie coach Stephane Waite and Therrien believes the Bruins are playing the same mind games as the series switches to the Bell Centre. "Well we all remember last year and Stephane Waite remember it more than anyone else that they make the same comments when they went into the playoffs and the Stanley Cup final with the Chicago Blackhawks and talking about about Corey Crawford," Therrien pointed out Monday. "Thats part of their game and their thinking. They try to put pressure on the other team with the media." Price seemed to find Hamiltons and Krugs comments almost comical. He pointed out that shooting high through traffic in front of the net is a common objective of most teams and players. "Ive seen a lot of scouting reports on lots of goalies throughout the league and thats pretty much the scouting report on everybody," Price said. "Its the same for Tuukka [Rask], its the same for Ben Bishop and its the same for Corey Crawford. So its a pretty irrelevant comment I thought. Tom Brady Jersey. " Price was then asked if this was just another example of the Bruins trying to wage a verbal war through the media. "Sure. I dont know," Price said laughing. "I guess. But like I said, they can try it but its going to be no different. Like I said, thats essentially how most goals are scored this time of year in this league so thats essentially a generic comment." During Game 2, the Bruins took a bench minor due to Julien expressing his displeasure with some calls against his team and what he felt were a lack of calls against the Canadiens. When asked about his teams ability to rally for the win, the Bruins bench boss took what appeared to be a little jab at the officiating. "I think especially the way it happened - we had that tough second period and at the start of the third, they got that other power play goal, but the way we just battled back through, I felt, a lot of crap that we put up with today, was pretty indicative of what our teams all about," Julien said. "It just shows that if you focus on the things you need to focus on, theres a pretty good team that can accomplish a lot." The crap part didnt go unnoticed by Therrien and on Monday he called his counterpart out. "Its the same thing with Claude. Hes not happy with all that ‘crap," he said. "I thought they got away with a lot of things as far as Im concerned, but they try and influence referees. Thats the way they are. Thats not going to change. Thats the way they like to do their things. But for us, were not paying attention to those things. We all know what theyre trying to do but it doesnt affect us at all." Therrien went on to say his team isnt going to focus on more retaliation through the media but rather to stay focused on their game plan on the ice. "We want to play hard and honestly we all understand the discipline is really crucial," he said. "Whatever comments they make on us, Im not a coach thats going to start making comments the other way. Its never been my philosophy. I dont like that. They can say whatever they want. Its their choice. But we know what we have to do to get success." That may very well be true, but the Canadiens made it clear Monday that they also dont plan to let every verbal jab from the Bruins go unheeded. MIAMI -- Marcell Ozuna was in a slump when the game started. Custom Oakland Athletics Jerseys . It was forgotten when the night was over. Ozuna doubled home Garrett Jones with the winning run in the 10th inning, and the Miami Marlins topped the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-4 on Thursday night. "This guy is a huge part of our team," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said of Ozuna, who snapped an 0-for-16 skid earlier in the game. "And hes had some big at-bats and hes gotten some big hits for us throughout the year." Ozunas line-drive to left-centre came off Bradin Hagens (0-1), who was making his major league debut. Hagens got a double play to escape the ninth, but Jones reached on a leadoff walk in the 10th and scored two batters later. "I still have to be ready," Hagens said. "It was nice to get in and have a chance to help the team get a win, just unfortunate that it didnt happen." Mike Dunn (10-5) pitched two perfect innings for Miami and became the first reliever to reach double-digits in wins since Matt Belisle for Colorado in 2011, according to STATS. "The team played great tonight, coming back," Dunn said. Mark Trumbo had a pair of RBI singles for Arizona. Diamondbacks starter Chase Anderson allowed nine hits and three runs in six innings, and David Peralta had an RBI triple to highlight a two-run third. Giancarlo Stanton had three hits for Miami, giving him four multi-hit games in his last 10 outings. Brad Penny, pitching at home for the Marlins for the first time in more than 10 years, allowed five hits and four runs in five-plus innings. Miami trailed 3-0 early, then chipped away. Penny and Donovan Solano had doubles in the home half of the third, and Stantons RBI single got Miami within 3-2. Arizona went up 4-2 in the sixth when Trumbo drew a leadoff walk and eventually scored, but then Hechavarria -- who had exactly one multi-RBI game in his last 108 appearances before Thursday -- brought the Marlins back. He had a RBI triple in the sixth to get the Marlins within one, then tied it at 4-4 with two out in the eighth with a single that brought home pinch-runner Jordany Valdespin easily from second. "Hes improved so much," Redmond said. Another chapter will be written in Ottawas CFL story when the Redblacks play their first home game in franchise history Friday night against the Toronto Argonauts. Tyler Skaggs Jersey . However, it will be far from the first professional football game the nations capital has seen. For almost a century they were known as the Rough Riders (not to be confused with the Roughriders from Saskatchewan). Then, after a six year absence, the city returned to the CFL with the Renegades for a short and controversial four-year stint. Now after a time where some thought it could never happen, football has returned to Ottawa with a new name, a new group of players and new optimism. Looking back at their long history, Ottawa definitely has had some proud - and not so proud - moments on and off the gridiron. The Early Years Before they were the Rough Riders, they were simply known as the Ottawa Football Club, formed in 1876. It wasnt until 1898 when they changed their name to the Rough Riders. For a five-year stint from 1925-30, they were called the Ottawa Senators before changing the name back. In the early 1950s Ottawa hosted the NFLs New York Giants for a pair of exhibition games, losing both times. They won four Grey Cup championships (1925, 1926, 1940 and 1951) before the Canadian Football League officially formed in 1958. The Glory Years The Rough Riders won five Grey Cups under the CFL umbrella from 1960-76 (1960, 1968, 1969, 1973 and 1976) with Frank Clair manning the sidelines as head coach and Canadians such as quarterback Russ Jackson, receiver Whit Tucker, running back Ron Stewart and tight end Tony Gabriel leading the charge on the gridiron. Jackson of Hamilton, Ont. is widely considered to be the greatest Canadian-born quarterback to play in the CFL and is a member of the Order of Canada, the Canadian Football of Fame and Canadas Sports Hall of Fame. He even finished eighth - and as the top Canadian - in TSNs ranking of the top 50 CFLers of all-time. Ottawa could run during those successful years as well. Rough Riders running back Vic Washington has the record for longest rushing touchdown in Grey Cup history with an 80-yard scamper during their 1968 Grey Cup victory over the Calgary Stampeders. Their final championship season came in 1976 and is probably the most notable. Burlingtons Tony Gabriel caught a deep touchdown pass from quarterback Tom Clements with just 20 seconds remaining in the final quarter to defeat their hated rivals, the Saskatchewan Roughriders 23-20. It became known as simply "The Catch" and was arguably the greatest moment in Rough Riders history as well as one of the most memorable Grey Cup plays ever. Ottawa made one more Grey Cup final appearance in 1981 against the Edmonton Eskimos - a game in which they blew a 19-point halftime lead to lose 26-23. With nine championships, the Rough Riders are fourth all-time in Grey Cup victories behind the Argonauts (16), Eskimos (13) and Blue Bombers (10). The Decline From 1983 to the end of their existence in 1996, the Rough Riders never put together another winning season and didnt win a single playoff game. As the team struggled mightily, fans stopped coming out and the franchise lost money at a rapid rate. One positive note from this era came in 1988 when Jo-Anne Polak was named co-general manager of the team, which made her the first woman to be appointed to an executive title in CFL history. On the other side of the spectrum, there was the time when Ottawa management drafted a dead man. Derrell Robertson was a defensive end who played one season with the Las Vegas Posse in 1994 during the CFLs doomed American expansion. Shortly after the season, the 27-year-old died in a car accident. With the Posse folding after just one season, all their players became available through a dispersal draft and Ottawa drafted Robertson fully believing he was alive and well. Not a great moment for a franchise that was on its last legs. The team folded in 1996, 120 years after the Ottawa Football Club played their first game against the Aylmer Club at Jacques-Cartier Square. Hope was back in the nations capital with an entirely new franchise, but it ultimately didnt last very long. Over four seasons, the Renegades would win only 23 games and never got a sniff of the post-season. On April 9, 2006 the CFL suspended operations of the franchise after low attendance and unstable ownership from the Glieberman family. Football was done in Ottawa - again. A New Hope In 2008, a group led by Ottawa 67s owner Jeff Hunt was awarded a conditional CFL franchise that would become the Redblacks. After getting approval for a redevelopment of Lansdowne Park and the hiring of general manager Marcel Desjardins as well as head coach Rick Campbell, Ottawa was finally ready to start putting another team together. Receiver Fred Rouse, defensive lineman Dimetrio Tyson and defensive back Nick Turnbull became the first signings in franchise history. They would later sign free agent and veteran quarterback Henry Burris to a contract. The Redblacks have gone 0-2 so far in 2014, losing games on the road to the Blue Bombers and Eskimos. With a rejuvenated fan base and stable ownership along with a fairly strong team by expansion standards, this version of Ottawa football seems like its here to stay. COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Almost none of the 14,070 fans on hand knew that Mark Letestu scored the game-winning goal for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Air Max 97 Noir Femme Pas Cher . That was OK with him. He was just happy his team came away with two points. Letestu redirected Jack Johnsons shot from the point with 2:38 left, lifting the Blue Jackets past the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 on Monday night. The goal was initially credited to James Wisniewski immediately after the game. Johnson, celebrating his 27th birthday, thought he had the winner until the goal was changed long after the teams had left the ice. Letestu said the crowd, that was so exuberant during the Blue Jackets rally in the second half of last season, had a hand in carrying the club. "It was especially loud coming down the stretch," said Letestu, who has four goals in five games after netting only one before then. "When we got that last power play, (the fans) could sense it, too, that we were close. Maybe they willed us on to score that one. "It was rockin out there." It was the Blue Jackets season-high fourth win in a row. There were plenty of others in the spotlight before Letestus winner. Nathan Horton scored his 200th NHL goal, also during a third-period power play, and Ryan Johansen scored for Columbus, which is 5-1 in the new year. Sergei Bobrovsky had 26 saves. "We showed some character coming back," said Horton, a free-agent signing from Boston last summer who missed the first 40 games for his new team while recovering from shoulder surgery. "Thats what we needed when we needed it most." Tampa Bay had been 17-1 when leading after two periods. The Blue Jackets had a man advantage for the sixth time after Tyler Johnson was called for hooking with 3:28 remaining. Just 50 seconds later, Wisniewski fed Johnson for a hard shot that Letestu deflected past Anders Lindback through heavy traffic in front. "They found a lane there," said Lindback, who had 25 saves. Columbus, 2 for 6 with a man advantage, dominated the rest of the way. Wisniewski barely missed on an empty-net attempt with a minute left, and Matt Calvert and Brandon Dubinsky helped to keep the puck away from the hard-pressing Lightning. "We got our game back," coach Todd Richards said about the step up after a dismal second period. "To me, thats a sign of the character youre looking for from your group. Teams are going to make pushes, get some momentum in the game ... but I like the way we went after it in the third period." Alex Killorn and Victor Hedman had goals for Tampa Bay, and Lindback stopped 25 shots. "Ultimately, we had way too many penalties," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said. "It turned into a special-teams game, and their special teams were better than ours." Columbus tied it at 2 at 3:09 of the third when Horton wristed a rising shot from the top of the left circle just inside the far post. The power-play tally was his second goal for Columbus after notching 142 in six seasons with Florida and 56 in three years with the Bruins. Johnson didnt end up with the winner but did have two assists. "It felt nice to have a comeback win on the birthday," he said. "I can rest easy a little bit more tonight." NOTES: Columbus RW Cam Atkinson had a three-game goal streak end. C Boone Jenner had scored in two straight. ... Tampa Bay C Steven Stamkos missed his 29th game (broken right leg). J. Williams finally has his packing strategy down.SAN DIEGO - Sometime soon, a baseball will be getting a prominent spot among the trophies on Justin Verlanders mantle. Its the ball he hit up the middle for a single in the second inning Saturday night, the one that will forever shut up his teammates. Verlander had the first two hits of his career and recovered from throwing 31 pitches in the first inning to pitch seven strong innings and lead the Detroit Tigers to a 6-2 victory over the San Diego Padres on Saturday night. "It felt great. Its been a long time and I can finally get all these guys off my back ...," Verlander said. Verlander had been 0 for 26 with 15 strikeouts in his career when he stepped in against Ian Kennedy in the second inning and singled up the middle. When the ball came back to Kennedy, he tossed it to a ball boy near the Padres dugout. Home plate umpire Seth Buckminster motioned for the ball boy to throw it to the Tigers dugout. "I think the Padres and probably Ian didnt know that I had never had a hit," Verlander said. "Its been nine years in the big leagues now. They probably werent thinking about that but I sure as heck was. I was watching that ball like a hawk." The last time Verlander had a hit? "High school. Its been a long time," he said. "I guess I have no more leverage," catcher Alex Avila said. "Were all happy for him. It was fun to watch." Verlander cited a list of times when he came close to getting a hit. "I think its kind of been an anomaly that I havent had one yet," he said. "I feel like Ive probably hit five or six hard that have been caught." Verlander singled to right in the fourth, although he had to hustle to avoid being thrown out by Chris Denorfia. "I hit it pretty hard, too. It was a bang-bang play but I beat it out, thank goodness," said Verlander, who eventually scored on Torii Hunters two-run single. The sight of Verlander (1-1) on the mound at Petco Park was another reminder of how the Padres flubbed the top pick in the June 2004 amateur draft. Not wanting to pay a big signing bonus, the team passed on players such as Jered Weaver, Stephen Drew and Verlander in favour of local shortstop Matt Bush. Nike Air Max Plus France. . Bush, who signed for $3 million, never reached the big leagues and had numerous off-field problems. In December 2012, he was sentenced to four years and three months in a Florida prison for a drunken driving hit-and-run crash. Verlander was taken by the Tigers with the second pick. He has thrown two no-hitters and came within two outs of a third, won the AL MVP and Cy Young Award in 2011, was voted AL Rookie of the Year in 2006 and is a six-time All-Star. Verlander allowed two runs and eight hits, struck out eight and walked one. He improved to 2-0 against the Padres, having also beaten them at Petco Park in 2008. "Hes a guy who obviously has that power arm when he needs to," San Diegos Yonder Alonso said. "He works his way into the game and if he feels like hes in trouble, hes going to attack. He made some good pitches but we just missed a lot of guys on base." The Tigers had plenty of offence one night after being held to one hit by Andrew Cashner in a 6-0 loss. Austin Jackson hit a two-run double one batter after Miguel Cabrera was intentionally walked to load the bases in the ninth; Hunter, who missed the previous two games with a bruised left knee, hit a two-run single; and Cabrera and Ian Kinsler each had an RBI double. Rajai Davis scored three runs. San Diego got its runs on Jedd Gyorkos sacrifice fly and Yasmani Grandals RBI single. Kennedy (1-2) allowed four runs and eight hits in six innings. He struck out seven and walked one. NOTES: A candidate in the Padres in-season contest to find a new public address announcer committed a big flub in the first inning. As Cabrera, the two-time AL MVP, walked to the plate, he was announced as Austin Jackson. Cabrera turned and looked up at the booth. Frank Anthony, the Padres PA announcer since Petco Park opened in 2004, was fired in January so the team could hold open tryouts as part of the 10th anniversary of Petco Park. ... The series concludes Sunday when reigning AL Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (0-0, 1.20 ERA) is scheduled to face Tyson Ross (0-2, 4.35). ' ' '

Dwayne De Rosarios return to Toronto FC is expected to be confirmed later this week after the former MLS MVP agreed to a contract with his hometown team. Fake Balenciaga From China . Canadas all-time leading goal scorer was selected by TFC in the MLS Re-Entry Draft before Christmas and I understand the two sides have now successfully negotiated a deal, although he hasnt yet put pen to paper. Whether or not this move is the right one for Toronto FC depends on how much they are paying, but with financially prudent general manager Tim Bezbatchenko at the helm, its a good bet the salary cap hit will be low, with the contract fully stocked with bonuses depending on the performances of De Rosario and the team. I was at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on the day De Rosario was first introduced as a Toronto FC player back in December 2008 following a highly successful spell with the Houston Dyamo. It was a heralded homecoming of a player who was one of the most decorated in Major League Soccer - a winner, coming to his hometown as a signature signing for a club heading into its third year of existence. For two seasons, De Ro lived up to the billing, but the club struggled through managerial instability and failed to qualify for the playoffs. However, his personal impact during his first spell with the club was overshadowed by the way in which he exited Toronto early in the 2011 season - a year when he went on to play for both the New York Red Bulls and DC United, and was then named MLS MVP. The infamous cheque signing and then the training spell at Celtic took the shine off his time in Toronto, but now there is a chance to put things right. De Rosario will now have the opportunity to finish a wonderful MLS career in his hometown. He could probably have earned more money elsewhere, but if he can make the desired impact, he has the potential to heal the wounds felt by some fans following his 2011 departure. Its not only a chance for De Rosario to make amends, but also for Toronto FC, under new management, to show the club has completely moved on from past failings. This time around, De Rosarios role will be much different. He wont necessarily be the focal point on the pitch, but more a member of the supporting cast for the already signed Brazilian forward Gilberto and the expected arrival of England international forward Jermain Defoe. For a player who turns 36 in May, it seems an ideal scenario. De Rosario is coming off a frustrating season in 2013. His DC United team finished bottom of the Eastern Conference and he scored an MLS career low of just three goals. So it is a much needed change of scenery with all of the financial benefits and home comforts that being in Toronto will bring. For the club, it is a gamble worth taking. It sends a positive message about the teams new management, while also providing them with a valuable piece of the puzzle currently being assembled by Bezbatchenko. De Rosario may be getting to the latter stages of his career, but hes been included in the MLS Best XI six times and still has plenty to offer. In his first spell with the club, he scored 27 goals in 57 MLS appearances during which time he was also named team captain. Its unlikely the Scarborough, Ontario native will produce those goal-scoring exploits this time around but he will more than adequately fit the role that will be asked of him. And in my opinion, the addition of the Canadian veteran is another shrewd addition by a club that appears to be moving in the right direction. Gerald Henderson scored 14 as the Bobcats matched their longest winning streak of the season, set Feb. 18-22. Brandon Knight scored 21 points and Ramon Sessions added 18. Jeff Adrien and John Henson each had 12, but it wasnt enough to stop the Bobcats from their first sweep of a season series from the Bucks. Neal led the way in the fourth quarter as the Bobcats slowly pulled away. He scored seven the Bobcats first 12 points and finished with 10 in the period. Josh McRoberts hit a 3-pointer and then Neal added a jumper that gave Charlotte an 88-85 lead. Neal complained about his role with the Bucks and clashed with coach Larry Drew and centre Larry Sanders, who is out indefinitely with a fractured orbital bone. Neal got into a heated exchange with Sanders in the Bucks locker room after the 116-100 loss to the Suns in Phoenix on Jan. 4. Then Neal, in his fourth season in the NBA, fell out of the rotation when Drew played younger players. MONTREAL - Defence was the hot topic for Montreal Impact this week and it was only fitting with the Columbus Crew in town. Fake Yeezys Online . The Crew scored nine goals in three games - a pair of wins and a loss - during a recently completed three-game homestand. Now they face an Impact team that is tied with Houston with an MLS-worst 45 goals conceded this season. Listen to the match live on TSN Radio 690 Montreal tonight at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The last-place Impact (4-15-5) face the fourth-place Crew (8-8-9) at Saputo Stadium on Saturday night looking to improve their overall defensive play, not just the back line anchored by veteran Matteo Ferrari. The Impact were feeling good about last week, which started with a 1-0 win at home over Chicago to end a seven-game losing run and a 3-2 victory in El Salvador in CONCACAF Champions League play. But it ended with a 4-2 defeat on the road to the New York Red Bulls that had coach Frank Klopas stressing defence at practice this week. "Weve got to keep working without the ball," said Klopas, whose team left gaping holes for the Red Bulls attack once it relinquished the lead. "The more compact we are defensively, it will make things more difficult for other teams. "Thats why, when we fell behind (to New York), it didnt play to our strengths." Red Bulls star Thierry Henrys brilliance was the main cause for that, as he erased the 1-0 lead Dilly Duka produced with his first goal for Montreal with a prescient header. Henry calmly poked in another and MLS scoring leader Bradley Wright-Phillips added two more around Andres Romeros late goal. Fatigue was a factor with the Impact playing three times in eight days, but defensive lapses have been a problem all season for Montreal. Klopas said when he was named coach last winter that the aim was to allow 10 fewer goals than the 49 conceded in 2013. That objective wont be met, and there are 10 games left in the regular season. And now they face Columbus, which has gifted nine-goal scorer Federico Higuain masterminding an attack that gets goals from many sources, including Ethan Finlay (six goals) and Justin Meram (five). There is also six-foot-seven forward Adam Bedell to contend with. "Players like Henry and Higuain, you cant stop them, you can just try to control them," said Impact captain Patrice Bernier. "You just need to be aware of them on the field and dont let them hurt you." The Impact are 1-5-1 against the Crew, including a 2-1 loss in Columbus in July, in three MLS seasons. The teams are 1-1-1 in Montreal. The Impact hope their game is picking up as the end of the season nears. New designed player Ignacio (Nacho) Piatti was promising in his first week with the club, and 38-year-old striker Marco Di Vaio is finding his range with three goals in his last three games. With Andres Romeo, who has scored in consecutive games, having a solid season at midfield, the Impact see themselves as a better team than their record shows. "I still believe we have a really good team, we just havent got the results this year," said defender Heath Pearce. "And with 10 games remaining in the season, we want to go on a run and put up a significant amount of points." Crew defender Eric Gehrig thinks so, too. "Were not going to look at the points they have or the stats they have," Gehrig told his teams website. "Were going to look at what they have on the field. On their best day, theyre a very good team, one of the best teams in the League." While the Impact have scored only 25 goals in 24 games, second lowest ahead of Chivas USAs 21, they feel that Piattis arrival gives them a dynamic offence. "We have more attacking options, with more players who are dangerous around the goal," said Di Vaio. "The hardest part is to try to control the game now. "If we can stop the other team from scoring, we know now that we can find the goals." The Impact may have Pearce and fullback Eric Miller back from injury to give them extra options at the back. They also signed Nigerian centreback Gege Soriola this week. Romero is to play his 50th game for Montreal. The Crew lost a top player last week when Costa Rican international defender Giancarlo Gonzalez was sold to Palermo of Italys Serie-A. Fake Yeezys From China . Infielder Dick Allen and outfielder Tony Oliva fell one vote short and pitcher Jim Kaat was two votes shy of the 12 required for election. The 16-member Golden Era committee is tasked to consider the ballot of candidates whose contributions to the game were most significant from 1947-72. It was made up of Hall of Fame members Jim Bunning, Rod Carew, Pat Gillick, Ferguson Jenkins, Al Kaline, Joe Morgan, Ozzie Smith and Don Sutton; major league executives Dave Dombbrowski, Jim Frey, David Glass and Roland Hemond; and veteran media members Steve Hirdt, Dick Kaegel, Phil Pepe and Tracy Ringolsby. TSNs Jack Armstrong offers his thoughts on Anthony Bennetts big game, the skills of Jeff Teague, the performance of Nick Calathes, the energy of Joakim Noah and the compete level of Amir Johnson. College Tom Brady Jersey . 1. Anthony Bennett (Cavs): Congrats! Finally. Its been a very frustrating and disappointing rookie campaign for the young Canadian out of UNLV. The Cavs have won three in a row after an embarrassing loss at home to the undermanned Lakers and firing their GM Chris Grant. A wake up call? Maybe. For Bennett, its got to feel good and hopefully the fact that hes rounding back into shape will help his confidence and he relaxes and plays his game. Lots of pressure being the #1 overall pick in the draft to say the least. 2. Jeff Teague (Hawks): For the Raptors to win Wednesday, they have to control this guy at the point of attack. Hes terrific at getting into the lane and outplayed Kyle Lowry in their first meeting back in early November. Hes had a nice season at 15.7ppg and 7.3 apg. Lightning quick and he changes speeds really well. Gets into the lane almost at will. His penetration and ball-hawking skills defensively will be factors to watch. 3. Nick Calathes (Grizzlies): Awesome job filling in at the point guard spot vs. the Wizards Tuesday night with 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Not a bad performance at all. Loved how he played with great poise at the end of the game vs. John Wall and concentrated on getting his team organized in their half-court offence and getting the ball to their two bigs and playing the power game. He really impressed me with his command of the game plan. Nice pick for them. 4. Joakim Noah (Bulls): Fabulous game Tuesday night vs. the Hawks. Watched the game and was blown way by the energy he had and the impact he had on the game. Posted a triple-double with 19 points, 16 boards and 11 assists. He competes at the top of the list for players in the NBA; not many that play harder in the entire league. A winner. With the Raptors currently (big game Wednesday vs. Hawks) in the third seed right now in the East with the Bulls, Hawks and Wizards occupying the 3-6 range of the East, the team I fear the most for a first round matchup for the Raptors is the Bulls. In spite of Derrick Rose being out and Luol Deng being traded, this team has what it takes to win in the playoffs and grind the game to a screeching halt and make you play ugly. For a young Raptors team in their first playoff series, this would be a matchup Id prefer they avoid. I know the Raptors have beaten them two of the first three games theyve played this year (they play again on next Wednesday in Toronto, coming off a back-to-back with Washington) but just ask last years Nets if you want to deal with the Bulls in the playoffs. Led by Noah, this club gets after you at a level in the playoffs that takes some getting used to. 5. Amir Johnson (Raptors): One of my all-time favorite Raptors. Not sure if hell play vs. the Hawks Wednesday but hes always been a gamer and wonderful competitor. The All-Star Break couldnt come at a better time for him than now. He needs the break to heal his injuries and fatigued body. He gives it his all for you and I respect that. I think hed be the first to tell you that he needs to play better and with more consistency down the stretch for the Raptors to be Atlantic Division champs and to also secure the third seed. If you watch the Raptors enough, its pretty obvious that when Johnson and Terrence Ross are going good and compliment Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Jonas and the bench, this team can play with anyone in the league. The night in and night out high level performance of Johnson and Ross, in my eyes, is the key to this team making a run here down the stretch. Consistency needed. Michael Jordan Jersey Chicago White Sox . Its the games against the leagues struggling franchises that have proved to be an issue. Signed Michael Jordan Jersey . A larger-than-life personality known for his intimidating style in the 18-yard box, Schmeichels career spanned some 20 years -- including a memorable tenure at Manchester United. https://www.sportsstarsjerseys.com/ . Miikka Kiprusoff had just announced his retirement after a decade-long run in Calgary and it would be up to Berra and Ramo to fill the void.EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin will be going into the season with a little more job security. The Giants confirmed Friday that they gave the 67-year-old Coughlin a one-year extension, putting him under contract through the 2015 season. The agreement had been expected since the franchise has a history of not allowing its head coach go into a season as a lame duck. "The Giants have always done that," Coughlin told reporters at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. "That was always indicated to me. I didnt pay a whole lot of attention to it to be honest with you. Weve had a lot of work going on in our business and our building, as you know. So I had great confidence that it would happen, and it did." Coughlin said that his agent and the Giants never talked about getting a longer contract, which is not surprising. The Giants have missed the playoffs the past two seasons and three of four. However, his Super Bowl titles in 2008 and 12 earned him at least another season. Coughlin and the Giants had wanted to get the deal done earlier, but it was delayed while Coughlin reshaped his offensive staff. Coordinator Kevin Gilbride retired after the Giants (7-9) missed the playoffs and two other longtime assistants, running backs coach Jerald Ingram and tight ends coach Mike Pope, were fired. Coughlin also reassigned quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan and receivers coach Kevin M. Gilbride, with Ryan taking over the receivers and the younger Gilbride moving to tight ends. Former Packers assistant Ben McAdoo was hired as the offensive co-ordinator. Coughlin said making the changes was very difficult. "You have coaches that have, in many cases, been with you a long, long time with Kevin (Gilbride) retiring and with Mike (Pope) and Jerald (Ingram) -- they had been with me a long time," Coughlin said. "I have great respect for them. Its neever easy. Michael Jordan Jersey Nike. Its very difficult thing for a head coach to do, whether it be a player, whether it be a coach, guys I have respect for. "They were very, very good football coaches. I just felt like in those situations that I needed to make some other changes after Kevin retired in the best interest of our team. And in doing that, were back on track now trying to get ourselves ready for the spring." Coughlin said there will be some noticeable changes to the offence next season, but not everything will change. "I think definitely we would maintain a commitment to the run, and that will be a factor no matter what," he said. "And thats been agreed upon by all. But as far as changes, they may be subtle; there may be some drastic ones. "But the number one thing will be the players, the team, the opportunity to again get ourselves back on track the way we need to be, the ball security issues being first and foremost. The obvious questions being made about the offensive line, well see where that goes. Who knows what that would have been like last year had a couple of our guys been able to stay on the field." The Giants offensive line was decimated by injuries last season. Center David Baas and guard Chris Snee missed much of the season and left tackle Will Beatty broke a leg in the final game. Guard-centre Kevin Boothe is a free agent, backup Jim Cordle will be coming off a knee injury and veteran David Diehl retired. That leaves only tackle Justin Pugh returning healthy after an excellent rookie season. The problems up front had Eli Manning and the offence being described by owner John Mara as "broken" after the season. "Did I agree that the offence was broken?" Coughlin said of the comment. "I certainly agree that some things have to be fixed, lets put it that way. But I wouldnt have used that word." ' ' '

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork. Fake Nike Shoes .com) - The Pittsburgh Pirates agreed to terms with nine players on contracts for the 2015 season, including All-Star Josh Harrison. The Pirates also avoided arbitration by coming to terms with catchers Chris Stewart and Francisco Cervelli, outfielder Travis Snider, infielder Sean Rodriguez and relievers Tony Watson, Mark Melancon, Jared Hughes and Antonio Bastardo. Harrison finished ninth in the voting for NL MVP after batting .315 with 13 home runs, 52 RBI, 18 stolen bases and a .347 on-base percentage in 143 games -- all career highs. He finished four points behind NL batting champion Justin Morneau of Colorado and one point ahead of teammate Andrew McCutchen for second place. Snider batted .264 with 13 homers in 140 games last season and Stewart hit a career-high .294 in 49 games. Cervelli, the longtime Yankees backup who was acquired in November for pitcher Justin Wilson, hit .301 with a .370 on-base percentage in 49 games. Watson tied for the NL lead with 78 appearances out of the bullpen, finishing with a 10-2 record and 1.63 ERA. Melancon pitched in 72 games out of the pen, compiling a career-high 33 saves in 37 chances with a 1.90 ERA. Hughes had a 1.96 ERA in 63 appearances. Last month, the Pirates acquired Bastardo from Philadelphia and Rodriguez from Tampa Bay, both for minor league pitchers. Bastardo had a 3.94 ERA in 67 games out of the bullpen during his sixth season for the Phillies. Rodriguez clubbed 12 homers with 41 RBI despite a meager .211 average in his fifth season with the Rays. He was acquired from Tampa Bay in December for a player to be named later, which ended up being minor league pitcher Buddy Borden.
